The first arrow…

Nothing speaks like the innocence, as the actions of a child.
Long before disobedience was a cry for help,
long before acting out was a cry for love and affection.
Do you remember?

Do you remember when your actions were uncalculated?
When each action was with pure intent?
Do you remember?

Do you remember the feeling of excitement?
Where you thought that the world was your canvas,
and your life the crayons to colour the world?
Do you remember?

Do you remember the time where peoples actions were pure?
When expectations were an undefined word?
Do you remember?

Do you remember the feeling?
The joy, the excitement, the ease of every moment?
The simplicity of life?
Do you remember…

The journey which is my life

As I sit here in the waiting room of my life, I sit and wonder…
Is this it? Have I arrived, am I still on my journey, am I just another passenger,
which is the journey of someone else’s life, or am I the driving force at the helm of it all?

As I sit here in the waiting room of my life, I observe others pass me by.
All so certain of their journey, all in content with their destinations.
Effortless and continuous movements,
not for a moment they pause,
not for a moment they wonder.

As I sit here in the waiting room of my life, I sit and wonder,
am I the only one who is waiting?
Waiting for a new journey to come to pick me up?
Waiting for a breakthrough?
Waiting for an awakening?

As I sit here in the waiting room which is my life,
I sit and smile as I come to realise,
This waiting room is not the beginning or the end,
but a brief part of what is the journey of my life.
